How did you get into working on comics: I drew at an early age, often utilizing word balloons and panels without having ever really touched a comic. In elementary school I read Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Sonic the Hedgehog religiously, as well as my friends collection of Marvel and Image books. Around 6th grade, I decided I would draw comics with my friend. I moved away but we traded drawing comic issues of a story him and I came up with for about 16 issues. I produced 3 comics for my high school literary magazine and during that time found Savannah College of Art and Design which had a degree in Sequential Art. At the end of my sophmore year and posting work on Deviant Art, I had my first offer to work on a freelance comic, which ended poorly after doing 3 issues of art. Since then I've come to my senses and worked with better writers and started my own personal projects. The Matriarch was produced for Arcana by Robert Richardson and Mamluk for Visionary Comics originally till it moved to Orang Utan Comics. I also work as a production assistant with Atlantis Studios as a letterer/layout artist.
